A man was killed by a rope tied around his neck at a local park in New Hampshire, police said.
A woman was in the park when the incident happened at 8:20 p.m.
Sunday, said New Hampshire State Police Capt. Jeff Sauerberg.
A second woman was at the park at the time of the incident, but did not suffer injuries, Sauerbrg said.
The man, who was not identified, was taken to a local hospital for medical attention, Sauberberg said.
The woman, who is being treated for neck injuries, was also taken to the hospital, but she was not injured.
Sauerburg said the rope was attached to the chair by the woman’s husband, and was pulled over the man’s neck and around his head.
Police are investigating whether the rope fell out of the chair and landed on the man.
Sauberville said the park’s website states that it is a family-friendly park with a playground, swing set, volleyball court, basketball court and tennis courts.
