A man and a woman were arrested in Ohio after a woman inadvertently strangled her boyfriend to death while she was strapped to a rope in a plane, police said.
The incident occurred Friday at Columbus International Airport, Columbus Police Chief Todd Ahern said Saturday.
Ahern identified the victim as 27-year-old Joshua Broussard, who was taken to OhioHealth Medical Center in Columbus, where he was pronounced dead, police spokeswoman Tanya Stegmaier said.
Broussart, a Columbus resident, was the father of a young child, police Chief Todd Alexander said.
He was also an aviation mechanic.
Ahern said authorities don’t believe there was any foul play in the incident.
No other information was immediately available.
The airline was flying from Cleveland to Boston and the woman was the sole flight attendant on the flight, Ahern told reporters.
The plane landed in Columbus about 1:15 p.m.
Police were investigating the incident Saturday afternoon.
No arrests had been made as of Saturday afternoon, according to Stegmasier.
