Tea Party Leader Mark Meadows said on Wednesday that he was “not in favor” of President Donald Trump signing an executive order to increase the number of border patrol agents on the U.S.-Mexico border.
Meadows was speaking at a Tea Party event in Washington, D.C. when asked by a questioner if he is opposed to Trump’s plan to increase border patrol troops.
He said: “I will fight on the border.”
Meadows was responding to a question about Trump’s executive order on border security.
“We need to have more agents and we need to enforce the law,” Meadows said.
“I’m not in favor of increasing border patrol.
It’s not a great idea.”
